How it works

What actually happens

Three steps. A free conversation to see if I'm the right person, a paid assessment that finds the highest-leverage place to start, and then ongoing coaching built around what we found. No packages to decode, and no commitment before you know what you're committing to.

  1. The Fit Chat

    Free. Not a sales call.

A short conversation so I can understand what's going on, what you've already tried and whether I'm the right person to help. If I'm not, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.

Some people skip this. If you were referred by someone I know, or we've already spoken, we can go straight to the consult.

  2. The Root Cause Consult

    $350.

This is the signature piece of work, and it is not a standard evaluation. Before we meet I review your intake and prepare. Then:

    • A full assessment and movement testing
    • Hands-on work where it's appropriate
    • An explanation of what's actually driving the problem, in language that makes sense
    • Written findings you keep
    • A short follow-up call, and a recommendation built for you

What I won't do is promise you a single root cause. Most people have several things contributing. The value is in identifying the highest-leverage place to begin rebuilding your body: the one change that moves everything else.

  3. Rebuilding

After the consult we have a short follow-up call, ten or fifteen minutes, to talk through what stood out and what the first month should focus on. It isn't a sales call. If it makes sense to keep working together, I'll send a proposal then, and not before.

The first month is deliberately simple: one primary issue, one direction, enough to build confidence and momentum. The nervous system only learns one small new thing at a time.

You're not buying sessions.

You don't need more information. You need someone to help you decide what matters most.

What you're paying for is judgment, strategy, oversight and responsibility. Someone who owns the problem with you and adjusts the plan as things change. Not an hour of someone's time, and not a programme you're left to interpret alone.

What this costs

How the work is delivered

In person, virtually and sometimes in the water

Most of the work happens in Marblehead or over video, and virtual is not a lesser version of it. A large part of what you're paying for is what gets noticed and what gets changed, and that travels.

Where it's the right tool, some of the work happens in the ocean, using water resistance to load the body without provoking what hurts.

Questions people actually ask

Is this physical therapy?

No. PT treats symptoms. I find the cause, fix the pattern and rebuild capacity.

Is this just personal training?

No. Training builds fitness. I rebuild control so pain stops repeating.

I've tried everything.

Good. That means you're ready to look at the real cause.

Can't I just stretch more?

If stretching solved it, it would already be solved.

Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to come?

No. Most people arrive because someone they trust sent them. Bring whatever imaging or notes you already have if you have them, and don't worry about it if you don't.

Will this replace my doctor, my physio or my chiropractor?

No, and it isn't meant to. If you already have people working with you, my job is often to make that work fit together rather than add another opinion to the pile.

How long does this take?

That depends on what we find, and I won't put a number on it before I've seen you. The first month is deliberately narrow: one issue, one direction.

Can you do this if I don't live near Marblehead?

Yes. A large part of the practice is virtual, worldwide.
